01/13-01/17 Software Engineering for Scientists and Engineers, January 13-17, 2025
Based on the course of the same name from Enthought Academy, in this course you'll learn the skills of software craftsmanship relevant for Research and Development workflows. We'll talk about the different aspects of writing maintainable, performant code, from best practices for naming to testing, logging, and profiling. Weâll wrap up a beginner-friendly (but sufficiently deep for experienced users, too) tutorial on version control with git and project management styles for R&D teams.
With lots of instructor-guided discussion, live demos, and practical exercises to walk through, this is a course to follow up Python Foundations for Scientists & Engineers or Data Analysis with Pandas after some months of experience. Pre-requisite: Python Foundations for Scientists & Engineers or equivalent.
Taught over 5 days, January 13-17, 2025 from 9:00-1:00PM Central Time.
